Adult Painting Class

My first adult painting class!
Only five people came (1 not pictured), but nevertheless, I taught. The class consisted of former coworkers from my job at a preschool. I allowed everyone to choose their own colors.
I had a lot of fun, and everyone else seemed to also.

Kids Paintings

Here are a few of my kids paintings.
These are paintings by me but painted with kids in mind.
If I do any more kids parties, these will be the paintings
for parents/kids to choose from.

Birthday Party!!

April 25, 2009
First Painting Party - 5 yr old birthday

I taught my very first kid's painting party today! It was pretty exciting.
I painted this apron and gave it to the birthday girl. I put her name on it, but I took the picture before the name was put on. I don't have an enlarged picture of the finished product yet.
I'll probably be posting information about future parties soon. Email me if interested.

Trish Biddle "Bolero"

Amy Price's "Skokiaan"

Here is a painting heavily inspired if not copied from Trish Biddle's "Bolero". I ABSOLUTELY LOVE her work, and I painted this one a while back but never posted due to fear of being subjected to copyright laws. But I'm not planning on selling this. This was just for fun. I actually never finished it though for some reason. The man only has one collar and the woman's right arm looks a little big. I had planned on slimming it down a little but just haven't gotten around to it yet.
The title of the painting is actually a song title from the Benjamin Button soundtrack. When I look at the painting, that's the song I hear.

I'm back!

Pink Shoe? 8 x 10
Possibly unfinished
First time I've posted in over a month!!! I can't believe I haven't picked up a brush in that long. I painted this while watching SATC...of course! It was a spur of the moment thing. Pink shoes seem to be "in" right now....or at least with me. =)
Don't know if it's finished or not. The shoe doesn't stand out enough for me. Comments?

From My House...

"Kitchen Apron" Feb 09
Acrylic on 8 x 10 canvas board

When I can't think of anything to paint, I start to wander around the house for inspiration. On a boring Sunday afternoon with my husband at work, I decided to paint my kitchen apron. Granted I rarely actually get to wear the thing, considering I work 45 hrs a week and frequently bring home fast food for supper instead of home cooked meals. Nevertheless, I decided to paint my kitchen apron.
